A Wedding...
Antonio and I had the priviledge to officiate a wedding. Of all possible locations, one of the nicest placest for a wedding in Antigua is the Casa Santa Domingo. Not to parrot the other tourists but environment is everything.
Meet Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Linda White.

Mirador 2...
In the grander scope of the variety of needs of this world, it is so easy to miss the needs that are right in our back yards. As is the case of Mirador 2, Pastores. Well within a crows flight from Antigua is this community that has only a faucet or a polluted river as the central source of water. There are as many as 26 families living in this community.
With a recommendation from the head of the Civil Police in Pastores, we took a step to help this community. With the help of Peter Burer, and Project:GO, we were able to provide One Point Sawyer Water Filters and now fifteen of the families have in their hands the ability to drink clean water - regardless of their source of water.
Of course it's not just about the filter of water, but the opportunity to share the gospel, giving them Bibles to filter life. It was a good day. Yea God.

Team Visits...
This year we have been having several groups that have come to assist during the same week. This past week was no exception with two groups from Church on the Rock, Plant City Florida and Parkland Baptist, Winter Haven. Both teams came with specific focus and both moved theIDC forward.
Church on the Rock offered up renovation/repair/cleaning and outreach to the National Police of Guatemala. Chaplain Jeff Howell of the Plant City Police / Pastor of Church on the Rock lead this months motivational breakfast for the PNC.
Parkland Baptist offered up help with Chillren's outreach events, the Feeding program in Santa Maria de Jesus, buidling a house in Pastores and renovation construction in theIDC.
The week was very full and rich and an absolute blessing. Yea God!

The TEAMeffort...
This past month we had the absolute blessing of two weeks of renovation help from TEAMeffort. This is a organization with many events during the year that expose groups to short term missions. We were the target of the two weeks of their service projects here in Antigua. While we have accomplished quite a bit of renovation during our year and a half in the building, there was not shortage of work to be done.
They came and they got it done. With work ranging from clearing space for a new sitting area in our children's area, stuccoing columns in the sanctuary, general cleaning of the gardens and facilities, deep cleaning of the cafe and kitchen, and painting the front of the cafe and sanctuary with most places in between, plus varnishing the ally door.
Thank you TEAMeffort. Yea God for you!
